At the time of winning an auction, Encore charges the winner's payment method the winning bid, shipping cost, and 2.9% + $0.30 payment processing fee.
If the buyer's payment method fails for any reason (incorrectly entered, declined, expired etc.), the buyer has 48 hours to update the payment method successfully and to avoid the cancellation of their order.
If this occurs on an auction you (the seller) posted, you will see the status of your order is "awaiting payment", and you are unable to generate a shipping label for that order.
As soon as the buyer has updated their payment method, you will be able to generate a shipping label and ship the order.
If the buyer fails to update their payment method within 48 hours, the order is canceled. If this happens repeatedly, the buyer faces suspension or a permanent ban. You will see the order in your sold tab, but you'll see that its status is "canceled".
