Creating a listing on Encore is quick, easy, and built to help you move inventory fast. Whether you’re listing one item or fifty, Encore gives you the tools to showcase your products clearly and confidently. Here’s how to get started:
📲 Step 1: Start Your Listing
Tap the green plus (+) button at the bottom of the Encore app to open the listing form.
You can either:
-
Record a new video directly in the app
-
Upload a video from your phone’s gallery
🎥 Pro Tip: Listings where sellers speak in the video sell over 50% faster. Talk about the item’s story, condition, and any details buyers should know.
🎛 Step 2: AI Assist or Manual Mode
Once the listing screen opens, you’ll be able to toggle between AI Assist or Manual mode.
-
AI Assist auto-generates the title, description, category, subcategory, and shipping profile based on your video
-
Manual Mode lets you enter everything yourself
💡 We recommend keeping AI Assist ON to save time and streamline your listing process.
🔴 Step 3: Record Your Video
Tap the red record button and film your item from start to finish. Your video must:
-
Be a minimum of 10 seconds and a maximum of 2 minutes
-
Show the entire item clearly from all angles
-
Highlight any flaws, defects, or imperfections
-
Mention if it’s sealed, open, vintage, new, used, working, or not working
You can be on camera or focus just on the item — whatever works for you.
🛠️ Reminder: This video is the first thing Support reviews if there’s ever an issue with the order. Be honest, clear, and detailed.
📝 Step 4: Review & Drafts
After recording:
-
Preview your video
-
Either re-record or save to Drafts
If AI Assist is enabled, Encore will start analyzing your video automatically. The draft will show as “Thinking…” while it generates your:
-
Title
-
Description
-
Category & Subcategory
-
Shipping Profile
🔍 Note: It’s your responsibility to review all AI-generated content for accuracy before listing. This includes verifying item details, weight, and dimensions.
📦 Step 5: Listing Your Items
Once your drafts are complete and accurate, you can choose how to publish them:
✅ Individually
-
Tap a single draft
-
Review all fields for accuracy
-
Choose how you want to list it:
-
Buy Now
-
Auction
-
Giveaway
-
-
Tap “Publish Now”
📚 Small Batches
-
Tap a draft
-
Review it for accuracy
-
Choose Buy Now, Auction, or Giveaway
-
Tap “Save” instead of publishing
-
Repeat for any other drafts you want to post together
-
Once ready, select multiple listings in Drafts and tap “Post All”
This option works great when listing multiple items at once — even if they have different prices or formats.
🔁 Bulk Auction Listings
Bulk Auctions are ideal for listing multiple items at the same starting bid. This feature supports Auction-style listings only.
-
In Drafts, tap “Select All”
-
Tap “Bulk Auctions”
-
Set:
-
Starting Bid (applies to all selected items — e.g. $1, $5, $10)
-
Auction End Date
-
End Time (recommended or custom)
-
Auction Spacing — e.g. if you choose 5-minute spacing starting at 9:00 PM, your listings will end at 9:00, 9:05, 9:10, etc.
-
-
Click Save
-
Back in Drafts, tap “Select All” again, then “Post All” to publish your auctions
⚠️ Reminder: Bulk Auctions apply the same starting bid to all selected items and are only for Auctions.
📣 Custom Notifications (Optional)
If you're posting 2 or more items at once, you’ll be given the option to send a custom push notification to your followers.
You can include:
-
A Notification Headline
-
A Notification Body
-
A Custom Image
🚫 Zero Tolerance: Custom notifications are heavily moderated. Explicit or inappropriate content is not allowed and will result in immediate enforcement action.
If you choose not to use this feature, Encore will send a default push notification on your behalf to alert followers about your new listings.
